劳律师是一位拥有新加坡、香港特别行政区以及英格兰和威尔士三地法律执业资格的律师，他曾在一家国际律师事务所北京代表处担任负责人十余年。有二十多年执业经历的劳律师，在2021年，被自己服务了十多年的一家中国大型石油公司的法务总监提名、从而成功被《商法》杂志评选为在中国的100位精英外国律师。

虽然劳律师的专长是专注在处理国际贸易、大宗商品、航运与保险等复杂的跨境争议解决，但鉴于他多年在不同商业领域累积的专业知识，劳律师也常被中国以及国际客户委托来协助和促进跨境投资的项目。劳律师在北京、上海，香港、伦敦以及新加坡多个不同的法域和地区积累的工作经历，给了他把握世界上几大主要司法管辖区内的商业环境的能力。劳律师近期一直为中国企业就多个一带一路项目中所产生的法律问题提供法律咨询服务。

劳律师是个在新加坡土生土长的第四代华裔，祖籍位于广东省江门的鹤山市、古劳镇。劳律师出身于一个华侨的大家族，家族名为劳兰桂堂。除了英语和普通话以外，劳律师可以讲流利的广东话（粤语）、闽南话，也同时可以使用东南亚国家广泛使用的印度尼西亚语和马来语进行对话。

Qualified to practise law in the 3 jurisdictions of Singapore, the Hong Kong SAR and England & Wales, Wai Yue practised in China as the head of the Beijing office of an international law firm for over a decade. With over 20 years of experience in legal practice, Wai Yue was, in 2021, recognised as one of the Top 100 elite foreign lawyers in China by the China Business Law Journal, having been nominated by the General Counsel of a Chinese oil major whom he had been servicing for over a decade.

Although trained as a litigator specialising in complex cross border disputes in international trade, commodities, shipping and insurance, Wai Yue is sought after by both Chinese and other international clients to lead corporate transactions involving cross border investments in various sectors, given his knowledge across a wide range of business sectors. His work experience in Mainland of China (both Beijing and Shanghai), Hong Kong, London and Singapore has placed him in that unique position to understand the business landscape of the major jurisdictions in the world. He is currently actively involved in advising Chinese entities on legal issues arising from various belt and road projects.

Wai Yue is a 4th generation Singapore Chinese and a member of Lo Lan Kwai Tong, which has its roots in Guangdong Province, Jiangmen, Heshan, Gulao.As well as English, Wai Yue is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, the Minnan dialect, and also speaks conversational Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malay.
